Wear reflective clothing in DIN standard in traffic

Reflective clothing makes cyclists and pedestrians more visible to motorists in the dark. When buying, attention should be paid to compliance with the DIN standard.

Cyclists wearing reflective vests are not easily overlooked by other road users.

In winter, pedestrians and cyclists make themselves better visible than possible, so that motorists notice them in time. The police advises to reflective material on clothing and safety accessories.

Buyers should pay attention to the standard DIN EN 13356. The surfaces on school bags, in turn, bear the designation DIN 58124. Anyone who wears a safety vest over their clothing as a cyclist accesses products with the EN ISO 20471 standard. Anyone wearing clothing with such reflective material can be seen at a distance of up to 140 meters.

More security for freshmen

ADAC distributes yellow safety vests to first graders all over Saxony.

"Under the motto" Just make sure ", the ADAC Foundation distributed around 39,000 safety vests in recent weeks to schoolchildren all over Saxony. The Regional Minister Brunhild Kurt and Klaus, board member of the ADAC Saxony, and Heike Hildebrandt, head of the Branch letter Zwickau of the German Post DHL Group, safety vests of the 75 first graders of the elementary school "Ernst Beyer" in Leinsdorf.

Elementary school students are seen better this way
Wearing a safety vest with reflective fabric gives children and parents extra security when the first-graders first master the way to school on their own in autumn and thus in the dark. "The first-graders should learn and recognize that they are easily visible to all other road users with a safety vest, so responding more quickly in a precarious situation can save lives, but the safety vest must be worn, because only then will it fulfill their needs Purpose, "said Klaus of the ADAC Saxony, and appealed to the parents, the children to wear the vest regularly.

Culture Minister Krutch thanked the initiators for this important action: "The safety vests with reflective materials ensure that the students are seen in the dark from afar, which gives everyone significantly more safety on the road."

The walker hit the car at the crossing, the woman died on the spot

The tragic accident was resumed by Brno rescue workers on Tuesday morning. Shortly after five o'clock, a driver (43) of the Ford was struck by a fifty-five-year-old pedestrian near the pedestrian crossing in Street. Despite the immediate help, the woman was unable to save herself.

"The rescuers tried to restore the life functions of the patient on the spot. The woman suffered polytrauma, unfortunately, she suffered a serious injury before transferring to the hospital, "said South Moravian ambulance spokesman Michael.

The accident occurred on a busy road, leaving only one stripe during the investigation. Full traffic has only been restored to the police after 9 o'clock. The breath test for alcohol was negative for the chauffeur.

A similar tragedy occurred a week ago in Let vice, where a senior (76) in the early evening shortened the crossing of the road outside the nearby crossing. The man then collided and killed the driver of the passenger car.

Reflective materials save lives
In view of the current weather, pedestrians call for underestimation of reflective fabrics on their clothing. This also applies to places where the law does not require it.

"A good reflective element can actually save a life. The driver who meets the pedestrian in dark clothing at night is about 18 meters long for an adequate response. However, if the pedestrian is equipped with a reflective vest made with reflective tape, the distance to which the driver is able to recognize the pedestrian increases up to 200 meters. Here is enough space to avoid the pedestrians safely, "said South Moravian police spokesman Panel.

Set actions! For more safety on the way to school

The focus of the police is at the beginning of school on traffic education and school transit.

"If children play on the sidewalk or only have their eyes on their mobile phones, then I exhort them," says Herman Pucker, a police officer, who has been working to secure the way to school since Monday, there are autumn holidays. With the first-class  and Lena Parker the helpful police officers practicing the right "over-the-road-going".

"Children of this age still have a limited field of vision and therefore have a harder time assessing the traffic situation," says Pucker.

Thomas and Elias , as well as Simon , go to school about 20 minutes a day on foot, "unless it rains", emphasize the three boys and crosses the zebra crossing. "The cars do not always stop. Sometimes they just keep on driving ", they describe in an angry voice and march towards the school building. "It is especially important to wear reflective clothing with reflective tape so that the children are seen," advises the police officer. The chief maxim is: "Parents should lead by example and show the right behavior."

Everyone can contribute
School transit security is one of the daily agendas for police officers. In Spittal, for personal reasons, not all streets can be monitored at the kindergartens and schools. "This could also support us private," says Hansen Michele, deputy district police commander.

Basically, anyone can stand with a safety vest to the side of the road. "But he must not admonish or complain. This may only authorize persons with a corresponding ID card, "said police officer Johann. Private schools must be coordinated with the respective school. Interested parties can contact the district police command for training.

In the district of Hermagor, there was no accident on the way to school in 2017, in the district of Spittal, six children were injured. Not always the school route backup is sufficient. Often, further measures are needed to defuse potential danger spots. If you are aware of dangerous ways to school, please inform us.

Students remind you to wear reflections during the action "Wear a reflex!”

Autumn is the season of the year when the day is getting shorter, it is often raining, fog. In such circumstances, pedestrians and cyclists become less visible on the road. That is why students of the fourth and fifth grade from the Primary School under the supervision of teacher Cecelia conducted a happening in front of the church under the slogan "Wear reflective vests! See and be seen - only candlesticks drive without light

Until Thursday, the city of Schwedt organizes the campaign "Seeing and being seen - only candlesticks without light" by the AGFS (Working Group for Bicycle and Pedestrian Friendly Cities and Towns) at four schools. The project is allowed in grades 5 & 6. In four modules, the students will be introduced to the subject of visibility in traffic by lighting and reflective materials from different perspectives.

Module 1 "The Black Box" recreates a street at night, showing cyclists with and without light. It illustrates how important lighting is on the bicycle. Module 2 "Bike Check - The Regulations in Brief" introduces the parts of the StVZO that are important for "seeing and being seen". In Module 3 "Repair Course - Tips and Tricks for Self-Help", the students are shown what shortcomings they may have in their bicycle lights and how they can repair them themselves. Module 4 "Being Seen" brings reflective materials closer to the bike that plays a big role in the dark. The functions of the reflective elements are experienced on a darkened wall with a viewfinder with light function.

On Monday the action started at the comprehensive school. "The action was a great success for everyone involved," writes the city in a media release.

Safe way to school

The deputy St. Wendell police chief Ralf Karnes puts Constantin and Julius on a reflective snap strap.

The police distribute not only reflective bracelets but also tips at the action day in St. Wendell. Although the accident statistics paint a positive picture, special caution still applies to the students on their way to school. The Saar Ministry of the Interior and the police station from the county seat have made the danger at the primary school with the action day "Safe way to school in the dark season" in St. Wendell. "Experience shows that dark clothing can only be seen at a distance of 25 meters. If reflective clothing or objects are worn, the driver has the opportunity to see the children 150 meters in advance, "explains Interior Minister Klaus Bouillon (CDU).

He and the police distribute yellow, reflective snap bands and informational reflective materials to the students. "When I put on the ribbon, I'm seen a lot better," says third grader Julius, after the Deputy St. Wendell PI director, Ralf Karnes, put on the bracelet. Fourth-grader Constantin says: "I will always take it now when I'm at school."

The day of action is an important and sustainable affair for Headmaster Benjamin: "We will address this once again, that the children should come to school wearing bright clothes and ribbons." The topic of safety on the way to school will be further discussed in class. "In addition, the police come to us in the school classes," adds the headmaster. While the reflective tapes are handed over to the children at the schoolyard, the police are also looking closely at the traffic situation in the elementary school environment. As the Minister of the Interior goes on to say, the number of accidents with children is declining, which means no reason for declining caution. "Road traffic has increased, safety for the children has increased. The statistics show that we have declines of more than 20 percent in accidents with children," Bouillon reports. But this rate is still too high. Therefore, the police were at the beginning of the school after the autumn holidays next St. Wendell with the day of action also in Homburg, and Neunkirchen represented. More actions will take place during the week.

Yellow vests distributed to pedestrians and bicycles to avoid accidents

Since Sunday, October 28, 2018, it is dark an hour earlier. Road safety and the Prefecture of Calvados pledge to prevent accidents Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

Since Sunday, October 28, it is night earlier, it will have escaped anyone. On the road or in the street, this loss of visibility always has consequences. The prefecture of Calvados and road safety will distribute visibility kits to pedestrians and cyclists, Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in Caen (Calvados), as part of the national operation "Bien Vu ensemble".

Yellow vests and reflective tapes

Inside these kits: yellow safety vests, reflective stripes to wear at the wrists or ankles and a yellow backpack also with reflective fabrics. The objectives are to raise the awareness of the most vulnerable road users: pedestrians, cyclists and motorcycles in particular. Every year, pedestrian accidents multiply during the transition to winter time, especially between 5 pm and 7 pm. Kit distributions are also planned in Bayeux and Lisieux.

Security clothes? The trend of reflective jackets

In a very short time, the national singer Paloma Mami has achieved great popularity for her music linked to trap and reggae. However, the 19-year-old has also become a fashion reference for many of her followers on social networks.

It was the case of the look he used to celebrate his recent birthday, where he wore a particular orange and black jacket, with reflective fabric, very similar to the safety clothing used by construction workers.

Despite the divided comments generated by this garment, Paloma showed that it is at the forefront of new trends. This was advanced by the American fashion house Calvin Klein in his last fashion show, where he unveiled a collection inspired by the workers' uniform.

Reflective clothing in yellow or orange fluorine colors have become an inspiration for fashion. The attribute of this type of garments linked to the urban genre consists of the striking of the tonalities and the oversize concept (XL garment).

British brands such as Pretty Little Things and Dolls Skill, have relied on this "working" trend to create striking neon designs. Apparently, they have become a garment that cannot miss in your closet during this season.

But the interpreter of Not Steady is not the only one who has surprised with a model like this. The singer Kanye West has also joined this trend, as they have shown in social networks.

No doubt you will steal glances if you dare to wear a look like that since finally, everything is a matter of attitude. You should also consider that when you go out to an event or party, you will be the first to find your jacket with reflective material in the dark.

94-year-old seriously injured in accident

A pedestrian has sustained serious head injuries in a traffic accident last Saturday.

The 94-year-old wanted to cross an unlit road at 19:20 clock and was thereby captured by a car. The 39-year-old passenger car driver from the district of Erding could not prevent the collision despite an evasive maneuver. The 94-year-old was taken to a hospital by the rescue service. The prosecution commissioned an opinion and ordered the securing of the car. The fire brigade Kirchhoff was in this accident with ten men in action.

The police advise in this connection: "At twilight and darkness pay attention to bright and ideally to reflective clothing. Dressed in a dark, you are the earliest from about 25 meters away. This can be too short for a timely pause or dodge. With reflectors on and reflective fabrics in your clothing, you can increase your visibility to up to 150 meters - enough distance and time for you and for motorists to react. "

It is worth to think about it and be visible on the road

The autumn weather makes the darkness fall faster, which combined with adverse weather conditions, means that pedestrians are less visible to drivers. Every person who moves on the road at dawn or dusk should have reflective vests on them. The police are appealing - in order not to become a victim, it is worth taking care of yourself and your relatives.

It is not without reason that pedestrians are called unprotected road users. They do not protect their car body or airbags. Their chances in a collision with the vehicle are small. Sometimes it is enough to take care of your own safety - walking on the sidewalks or on the right side of the road, going to places designated for it, or not climbing the road from behind parked vehicles. Especially now in the autumn-winter period, when it quickly falls, there are long evenings and often difficult weather conditions, reflective materials play a very important role in our safety.

The pedestrian, which moves along the road without reflections both at dusk and early morning is not very visible to the driver. The driver is able to notice the pedestrian-only from a distance of about 40 meters, but during rain or fog, this distance is even smaller. If the person has reflective elements on him, the driver notices it from a distance of up to 150 meters. It is also important that pedestrians avoid dark clothes because they are virtually invisible to drivers. Even the smallest reflective element, such as a key lanyard or pendant, makes us more visible.

Police officers remind that since August 31, 2014, pedestrians who move along the road at dusk outside the built-up area are obliged to wear retro-reflective elements in a visible way to other road users. People who do not comply with this provision must face legal consequences.

Not only pedestrians must remember to be visible on the road, but the same also applies to cyclists and motorists. Each bicycle should be equipped with lighting - one white position light at the front, one red at the back and an additional red light in a shape other than a triangle. Additional protection, go traffic regulations do not require cyclists to use safety helmets or reflective vests, it is worth using them. By wearing a helmet, we protect the head against dangerous injuries, and the reflective vest with reflective tape for clothing makes us visible to other drivers from a greater distance.

Police officers also call on drivers to remember speeding and slowing down in areas of pedestrian crossings and schools and to be careful in unlit places where there are no sidewalks. Remember that together we are responsible for our security.

Police officers distributed reflective tapes to schoolboys

Six hundred reflective tapes were handed out by police officers to Wallachia children on Friday 16th November. At the time of their early schooling they occupied six pedestrian crossings in the vicinity of schools, and besides the usual traffic control, they also equipped with straps.

"We wanted to remind schoolchildren that they are particularly important in the autumn and winter for their safety," Sonia Vallarta, head of the department of traffic administration, explained the purpose of the preventive action.

All the reflective materials were given in less than an hour.

"We always have some reflective fabrics on the jacket, but sometimes we take other ones," agreed Barbara and Katarina from the first year of the Business Academy.

"Safe through the dark season"

Dark clothing is very popular especially in the cold season, but it is not safe for the wearer. Under the heading "Safe Through the Dark Season," experts from the state capital, police, and road patrol on Thursday, November 8, campaigned for more safety through better visibility. They pointed out the benefits of bright, reflective clothing. Especially in these days at the beginning of the dark season, pedestrians and cyclists, especially children, are particularly vulnerable due to poor visibility.

Pedestrians and cyclists should wear light or better yet reflective clothing, so the tenor among the professionals, so they are visible at dusk and darkness from a great distance. By simple means, they can significantly reduce the risk of being overlooked. As part of the campaign, various reflective accessories have been distributed for more visibility in the dark season. The "RAD" campaign, for example, provided information leaflets and reflective tapes for the campaign.

In addition, all interested passers-by on the site had the opportunity to participate in a visual and reaction test free of charge. Among the drivers was the call to drive at this time of year with particular attention and with reasonable speed.

Better visibility and adapted speed mean more safety and can even save lives. After all, drivers in traffic can only react to what they see in time:

For example, dark-clad pedestrians are only perceived by the motorist at a distance of 25 to 30 meters at night or in poor visibility in the dipped beam.

A bright and contrasting dressed pedestrian is detected by the driver from a distance of 40 to 50 meters.

A pedestrian, who is traveling with reflective vest, can be seen by the motorist from a distance of 130 to 160 meters.

"Every accident is one too many! Create more secure through visibility for you and your children!", So the common appeal of all cooperation partners.

The cooperation partners are offering another date under the motto "Safe through the dark season" on Saturday, November 10, 11 am to 2 pm on the ground floor.

Don’t forget to protect your students when traveling outside in Spring

Many schools choose to take students out for spring tripping in the spring or summer. At this time, it is often the frequent occurrence of school child accidents. How to effectively avoid student casualties during the spring/summer tour has become the most concerned issue of the school and the school teachers nowadays.

In foreign countries, especially in European counties. It has become a rigid requirement for students to wear reflective vests during spring/summer tour outside. There are even some students who are required to wear not only during the spring/summer tour but to wear reflective vests when going to school and after school. This provision greatly increases the safety of foreign students when going out and reduces the pressure on schools and teachers.

In China, although this requirement has not yet been included in laws and regulations, there have been some advanced schools that have made demands on students to wear reflective vests during going to school and after school. These schools are the examples we should learn to.

So, where can we buy reflective vests? CHINA STARTS is one of the largest manufacturers of reflective fabric and safety clothing in China. We not only produce reflective materials, but we also have reflective vests and other products for your choice.

By the way, purchasing a safety vest for kids is not only the responsibility for schools and teachers, but also for parents. We should take more cares about our own child when taking them out. We sincerely hope our products and strive can help more people to keep the safety on the road.

The "yellow vests"

Those known as "yellow vests" burst onto the scene planning to cut French roads this Saturday. 78% of the French are in favor of a protest that the right supports.

They are the last political sensation in France. They have neither a party behind, apparently, nor a union hierarchy or any other acronym. Not even a very elaborate name.

They are known as the "yellow vests" and have imposed themselves in all conversations of the Gallic country to the slips of Macron with the collaborator Petain or even to the gestures of the Trump's visit on the occasion of the 100 years of the First World War. This Saturday, November 17, the "yellow vests" who wear reflective vests with reflective tape will cut, or so they pretend, the roads of France.

The action is part of the protests that are scheduled for that day throughout the country and have as their object of anger the tax increase to the government fuel Macron. The cabinet has tried to justify it, in the words of the president, because "it is preferable to tax gasoline than work", although the Economy Minister Bruno Le Maier himself admitted that "we are all motorists".

The problem for the government is that, drivers or not, it has thrown against people. According to a survey commissioned by Le Figaro, 76% considered the rise in fuel negative and 78% in favor of the protests on November 17.

Given that with regard to this matter, the society is clear, the debate that has settled in France has to do on the one hand with the how, the way in which the yellow vests have broken into the scene without being apparently sponsored by any leader Social. We do not talk about anything like a reissue of the French 15M, but of a Facebook group. With just over 17,000 followers, the reference page, and where everything that can happen on Saturday is cooked is here.

The next edition of the "Reflections save lives" campaign

Yesterday, policemen from WRD KWP together with the MKS Lublin juniors, before the match of our Lublin handball players, handed out reflective vests which made with reflective tape for clothing to all fans. The action enjoyed great interest from both adult sports fans and children. Everyone was happy to talk about road safety.

Yesterday evening at the Hall in Lublin there was a match of the 3rd round of the EHF Cup qualification with the French team E.S Besancon Feminine and footballers MKS. Before the meeting, the WRD KWP police officers in Lublin, together with the MKS Lublin juniors, provided fans with reflective elements as well as informing how important the wearing of reflectors is.

Reflective elements have a huge impact on our safety, especially in autumn and winter. Darkness early in the day, dark mornings, fogs or rainfall are not conducive to the safety of pedestrians. Having a reflective vest increases the visibility of a pedestrian on the road.

It was recalled that every pedestrian with a reflective material is visible to the driver from a distance of 150 meters. On the other hand, a pedestrian, which moves on an unlit side of the road without glare, is visible from a distance of 20-30 meters, which gives the driver no chance to react.

Experts want to change the law, what do they suggest?

These are the most common accidents. Vehicle and pedestrian crash. Experts from the BESIP and the police say that guilt - albeit inappropriate on both sides - is often the poor visibility of pedestrians. This is true not only in the morning darkness and evening darkness.

"The law, which applies to unlit areas of communications outside the community, requires pedestrians to wear reflective materials in these places. But it would have to be paid everywhere and our legislators would definitely have to deal with it, "Pave Arius, Regional Coordinator of BESIP, told a recent security action.

The police, along with him, during weekly activities throughout the country debated pedestrians at selected busy places, alerting them to the need to be "seen" and giving them safety reflective tapes.

"Every security element, in this case, reflective elements, we welcome. Pedestrians often underestimate this, and we also agree with the extension of the law. "said police spokesman Laure VaVa.

Pedestrians do not take precedence
But pedestrians are not only often "not seen". The mistake is also their passage of the road beyond the marked transitions, a very common mistake is also the completely mistaken awareness of the fact that people have absolute priority on transitions.

"The pedestrian must not enter the pedestrian crossing or on the road immediately before approaching the vehicle. The pedestrian must prefer the tram. "Martin of the press department of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic quotes from the relevant law.

The same law says the driver has the obligation to reduce speed or stop pedestrian crossing, speeding down or stops drivers of other vehicles traveling in the same direction. In addition, the driver must not endanger or restrict a pedestrian who passes on a pedestrian crossing or obviously is about to stop and stop the vehicle. Attention! This is not the case for tram drivers.

"So, in short, the driver must not endanger or restrict the pedestrian in a situation where he or she is obviously to go, not the tram driver. The pedestrian must not suddenly enter the road ahead of the passing vehicles and must prefer the tram. "the deputy of the Ministry of Transport specifies.

The Ministry of Transport adds that at present, the Working Group also deals with the law on wearing reflective vests. "However, there has not been a concrete introduction of the surface wear of reflective elements under certain conditions. Meanwhile, discussions are underway to solve the problem properly. "Farrar said.

We will advise you how to ride in the dark, winter and rain

This is the celebrations of all the feasts and masks. Even at this year's edition held on Friday, they were blessed with a march through the center of Prostejov. Of the dozens of high schools, hundreds and hundreds of students started out.

Often, even the closest ones would not recognize them. At the end of the week, they became soldiers, nuns, Chinese and Hunger Games.

The procession first crossed the traditional route from the spa to the cinema park and the Social House to T.G. Masaryk. There were six numbers prepared by each secondary school.

Among them was the High School of Health. The power of optimism did not offer her performance, but the medical staff was confused by the students for the overalls and reflective vests.

"We are looking at the future, we will all meet at the construction site," remarked Teresa Novak, whose classmates boasted in immense transparency "the yellow vest, the way too."

As the weather changes, security issues arise

The rapidly changing weather conditions mean that road conditions are becoming more and more difficult. Let's also remember that during this period pedestrians and cyclists are particularly exposed to accidents, use reflective vests. This is just the beginning of difficult driving conditions, and already some drivers find out what it is like when the car has an extended braking distance and stops on another car or in a ditch. That's why policemen advise how to safely behave in the fall on the road.

Rainfall, gusty wind, and rain will fall more quickly. Such aura makes the conditions on the road change quickly, which creates a danger for both drivers and pedestrians. That's why the police are calling for special caution and prudence.

Remember that the roadway combined with rainfall and leaves lying on the road is slippery and the braking distance is longer. Overtaking in such conditions, avoiding a bend becomes much more dangerous.

Deteriorating weather conditions mean that particularly pedestrians, cyclists, and mopeds are exposed to accidents. It is important that each of the pedestrian road users is clearly visible. Therefore, remember to use reflectors whenever you are on the road. A reflective vest, keychain, headband which made of reflective fabric, or even an ordinary flashlight will make it easier to see the oncoming driver when moving on a poorly lit road. Pedestrian equipped with reflections is visible to the driver from a distance of 120 to 140 meters. A person who has no glare from about 30 meters. Unfortunately, it is often too little for the driver to react properly.

In connection with the change of weather related to the autumn period, police officers remind drivers of basic safety rules.

Safe speed and distance
An iron rule when moving on a wet surface or driving during rainfall is the safe speed. Unfortunately, it is often equated with the permitted speed at which vehicles can move on a given stretch of road. Remember that the sign saying about the restriction does not provide slippery surfaces, therefore the decision as to what speed we have to go must be taken individually by the driver. It is reasonable to maintain the same speed when suddenly the roadway gets wet. In this situation, the adhesion of the tires to the road surface significantly decreases, and with it our safety. It is extremely important to keep an adequate distance from the vehicle in front. This will protect us from hovering in another car. Remember that by maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle in front of us, we increase our safety on the road.

Let's take care of visibility
Glass covered with drops of water and fogged from the inside, a very large drop in visibility. Therefore, it is advisable to check the heating system and possibly replace the filters, which could be clogged with dust and dust during the summer. Similarly, check and replace the wiper blades if necessary. We should remember that visibility is a decisive factor for our safety and other road users. To be visible on the road as pedestrians, do not forget about reflections and clothing with reflective materials. In particular, we should equip our children with reflections that will return home from school at night.

Antifog lights
Fog lights used for misuse can be a big obstacle for other drivers. The Highway Code requires the use of front fog lamps in the event of reduced air transparency. It also allows their use during good visibility from dusk to dawn - on a winding road, which is marked with the appropriate signs. It should be remembered that the use of fog lights when visibility is bothersome for others. In turn, the rear fog light can only be turned on when visibility falls below 50 meters.

Limited trust
Even the most experienced driver who knows his skills and capabilities at the least expected moment can meet on the road with a dangerous situation. That is why it is extremely important to apply the principle of limited trust. When approaching the intersection, pedestrian crossings, passing the green light, we must reckon with the fact that someone will try to break the ban, cross the intersection at a red light, unexpectedly change lane, or when it comes to pedestrians running across the road.

Remember that autumn is a difficult time for all road users. Let us be very careful and remember that our safety depends mainly on ourselves. Do not forget that changing the aura forces you to change the technique of driving, and the moment of inattention and distraction may be the cause of the tragedy.

Drunk driver ignores police control

A car driver put his five-year-old daughter, a policeman and himself in danger when he was drunk ignored a police checkpoint.

Police officers of the Greifswald Police Headquarters recently conducted a stationary traffic check and wanted to control a white Audi around 10 pm, However, the driver did not respond to the police officer, who drew attention to himself and the control with a reflective vest, a red lighted tenter, and a flashlight.

The car drove on so that the officer could only prevent by a jump to the side to be detected by the vehicle. The police followed the car and could stop the driver. At the check, the officials found strong breath alcohol odor among the 36-year-old motorist. A breath alcohol value of 2.35 per thousand was measured. In the passenger seat was the man's five-eared daughter. A criminal case was initiated against the 36-year-old; the driver's license was ensured.

Little monsters safe on Halloween

On this Halloween night, the young Felix, wearing a Darth Vader mask and a long cape gliding swiftly on the asphalt, travels along the street in his neighborhood, zigzagging from one side of the street to the other, in search of treats. Between two "Happy Halloween, sweets please!", he is already biting into chocolate bars and jujubes, the fruit of his harvest.

In spite of himself, Felix contravenes many safety rules that the Urban Police Service (SPAL) wishes to put forward to ensure that young and old live a safe Halloween party.

First mistake: wearing the mask can affect visibility. Makeup is better, so see and hear well.

Second mistake: Darth Vader's long cloak - just as appropriate as it may seem for this night of mystery - risks tripping young Felix. Short clothing is recommended.

It is also recommended to wear reflective clothing, with reflective tapes that can be added to the costume - Darth Vader will certainly not want to Felix!

To be more visible, it is also a good idea to have a flashlight in your hand.

Third mistake: Felix could join friends or ask a parent to accompany him in his collection of treats, rather than walking along the streets of his neighborhood. If Felix thinks he is "way too big" to accompanied by dad or mom, the SPAL suggests to him to inform his parents of the journey and the time of return. In any case, we live outside the houses, even if we are invited to enter.

Fourth mistake: the zigzag is good for the ski slopes! SPAL recommends traveling just one side of the street at a time, to avoid crossing unnecessarily. At all times, you must cross the streets at intersections and respect road signs.

In addition, Felix must not approach or ride a vehicle without the permission of his parents.

Fifth mistake: It's understandable, it's hard to resist the urge to devour some sweets on the way. However, it is important for parents to check the treats received to ensure that children can eat them safely.

10 rules for a safe Halloween:

Wear light clothing with reflective fabric;
Wear short clothing;
Prefer the makeup to the mask;
Use a flashlight;
Inform parents of their journey and time of return;
Traveling in a group or with an adult;
Always wait outside homes;
Only one side of the street at a time;
Cross at intersections;
Refuse to approach a vehicle or to go up;

Check treats with parents before eating.

Darkness falls faster and faster

This fall is unique. For a long time, we can enjoy sunny and warm days. However, they are getting shorter. Police remind us to wear reflective vests with reflective tape for clothing - especially during the autumn and winter. They can save our lives!

The use of reflective elements especially in autumn and winter, when it is dark early and visibility is definitely worse, can save our lives. Therefore, wearing reflective vests by pedestrians should become a habit. According to the Road Traffic Law, pedestrians who move along the road after dark outside the built-up area are obliged to use reflective elements in a visible way to other road users.

Correctly worn reflective elements should be placed in such a place that they are in the field of car light and visible to drivers coming in from both directions (back and front).

"If you attach a reflective element to the backpack (at the back of the silhouette) it is obvious that it will not be noticed by drivers coming from the opposite direction and vice versa when the reflection will be only at the front, the driver behind us will not see him. It is safe to have two reflective elements one at the front and the other at the back or to use such types of reflections that can be seen from both sides, for example, reflective bands," emphasize the policemen.

Because car dipped beam illuminates the path asymmetrically (more light is directed to the right side of the road), the reflective element should be placed as low as possible, then a light beam shines on it.

If someone often uses the road outside the built-up area, it is best if you decide to wear a reflective vest with reflective fabric, suspenders or a headband. The motorcyclists and cyclists are more and more convinced of these reflective elements, who, like pedestrians, are unprotected participants in the movement.

Widely visible in bright yellow vest

Good to see are the children of the three elementary school classes of the Steinem school center.

The days are getting shorter, the weather is rainier, stormier. The road and visibility conditions are bad. Road traffic carries great danger, especially schoolchildren are extremely vulnerable in the dark season. "Foresight" is necessary. Also with the drivers.

And this is where the ADAC Foundation brings colors into play with its "first-grader security campaign". So that motorists can keep their "white vest", the children on the streets run in bright yellow. The vest, which has been distributed nationwide by the ADAC free of charge since the beginning of school, is as often misunderstood, often the latest thing in fashion. But they increase visibility and, according to the ADAC Foundation, can "see their way through" to over six million children.

"While children in normal street clothes are only noticed at distances of up to ten or twelve meters, the children in yellow with the additionally printed reflective  materials are already visible if they are still well over 120 meters away," said Karlheinz Renner, chairman of the Motorsport club ( MSC), who handed over 61 neon-yellow vests on Tuesday on behalf of the Foundation's 61 first graders.

"In Germany, around 30,000 children are involved in traffic accidents every year," emphasizes the ADAC. "the safety of the youngest in the road is particularly important." It was important to maximize the visibility and thus the safety of children, and indeed especially in the dark, emphasized Renner and delivered to the vest a simple manual: "You should in the morning, when it's dark, always put on the reflective vest." It would be best to hang the vest to the wardrobe and just over the jacket over it. "

Rector Stefan Royal asked Karlheinz Renner to pass on the school thanks to the ADAC. He hopes the action will continue, he said, responding to Renner's announcement that the project is expected to be closed for privacy reasons, among other things. Mayor Braun also hopes that this would encourage the first graders to wear the vests with reflective fabrics at all costs, but still be careful and take care of each other on the way to school.

A school in the running to be labeled "eco-school"
And because we know that at this age everything is an excuse to start a competition. That day, it's up to those who pick up the most garbage. Shards of glass bottles, cans, plastic bottles, various bags, etc. The list is long. Sometimes incongruous.

In any case, the initiative likes. In particular paper. This operation today is to show children the importance of sorting and collecting waste. "

A necessary awareness for these children who do not fail to learn good habits to their parents when they return home. On the banks of the riverbank, although still at the spot, these students of CE2 / CM1 and CM1 / CM2 are not less surprised to see so much waste populated this beautiful space.

After a morning gathering along the banks of the Tarn and the two sides of the canal side of the Garonne, all actors found themselves for a picnic at the Uranium. All the waste collected was weighed and handed over to Sir Thomas, in charge of sorting.
