prevent accidents Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
Since Sunday, October 28, it is night
earlier, it will have escaped anyone. On the road or in the street, this loss
of visibility always has consequences. The prefecture of Calvados and road
safety will distribute visibility kits to pedestrians and cyclists, Tuesday,
November 6, 2018, in Caen (Calvados), as part of the national operation "Bien
Vu ensemble".
Yellow vests and reflective tapes
Inside these kits: yellow safety
vests, reflective stripes to wear at the wrists or ankles and a yellow
backpack also with reflective fabrics. The objectives are to raise the awareness of the most
vulnerable road users: pedestrians, cyclists and motorcycles in particular.
Every year, pedestrian accidents multiply during the transition to winter time,
especially between 5 pm and 7 pm. Kit distributions are also planned in Bayeux
and Lisieux.
