"The rescuers tried to restore the life functions of the patient on the spot. The woman suffered polytrauma, unfortunately, she suffered a serious injury before transferring to the hospital, "said South Moravian ambulance spokesman Michael.

The accident occurred on a busy road, leaving only one stripe during the investigation. Full traffic has only been restored to the police after 9 o'clock. The breath test for alcohol was negative for the chauffeur.

A similar tragedy occurred a week ago in Let vice, where a senior (76) in the early evening shortened the crossing of the road outside the nearby crossing. The man then collided and killed the driver of the passenger car.

Reflective materials save lives

In view of the current weather, pedestrians call for underestimation of reflective fabrics on their clothing. This also applies to places where the law does not require it.

"A good reflective element can actually save a life. The driver who meets the pedestrian in dark clothing at night is about 18 meters long for an adequate response. However, if the pedestrian is equipped with a reflective vest made with reflective tape, the distance to which the driver is able to recognize the pedestrian increases up to 200 meters.
