Drunk driver ignores police control

A car driver put his five-year-old daughter, a policeman and himself in danger when he was drunk ignored a police checkpoint.

Police officers of the Greifswald Police Headquarters recently conducted a stationary traffic check and wanted to control a white Audi around 10 pm, However, the driver did not respond to the police officer, who drew attention to himself and the control with a reflective vest, a red lighted tenter, and a flashlight.

The car drove on so that the officer could only prevent by a jump to the side to be detected by the vehicle. The police followed the car and could stop the driver. At the check, the officials found strong breath alcohol odor among the 36-year-old motorist. A breath alcohol value of 2.35 per thousand was measured. In the passenger seat was the man's five-eared daughter. A criminal case was initiated against the 36-year-old; the driver's license was ensured.
