A pedestrian has sustained serious
head injuries in a traffic accident last Saturday.
The 94-year-old wanted to cross an
unlit road at 19:20 clock and was thereby captured by a car. The 39-year-old
passenger car driver from the district of Erding could not prevent the
collision despite an evasive maneuver. The 94-year-old was taken to a hospital
by the rescue service. The prosecution commissioned an opinion and ordered the
securing of the car. The fire brigade Kirchhoff was in this accident with ten
men in action.
The police advise in this connection:
"At twilight and darkness pay attention to bright and ideally to reflective
clothing. Dressed in a dark, you are the earliest from about 25 meters
away. This can be too short for a timely pause or dodge. With reflectors on and
reflective
fabrics in your
clothing, you can increase your visibility to up to 150 meters - enough
distance and time for you and for motorists to react. "
