The funds raised will be used to provide support for children with disabilities in pre-school education


After three successfully held, the Association of Associations for Early Childhood and Preschool Children with Developmental Disabilities in the educational system of the Međimurje County 'First Step' Čakovec, in partnership with the Senjar Environmental Protection Association and the Paintball Recreation Center 'Pozoj' from Donja Dubrave organizes on Sunday, June 9th a Charity Downhill for boats that are old along the Drava River.

To promote awareness of the importance of early integration and inclusion of children with disabilities with the support of helpers already in pre-school education and to point out the importance of preserving the Drava River as the last pearl of untouched nature, significant for its biodiversity and tourist attractiveness, the so-called European Amazon.

They will paddle along the 11-kilometer-long Drava River from St. Mary to the Lower Dubrava. The registration fee of 80 kuna includes a place in a rubber raft boat, a paddle, a safety vest, roasting sausages on a campfire and liquid refreshments on a sand pond.

The gathering is between 9 am and 9:30 am at the Drava Bath at St. Mary's (turn at the hydroelectric power station), and the descent starts at 10 am. Bring your vehicles (drivers only) to Donja Dubrava to the white bridge from where a bus transfer to St. Mary's is organized at 9:30 am. Thus, at the end of the descent, your vehicle is waiting for you at the finish line. The end of the descent is scheduled between 15 and 16 hours.

"At the end of the downhill, we can continue swimming and socializing along the Drava Channel. We are looking forward to joint rowing 'European Amazon'," said from the Association of associations "Step One" Cakovec. The descent is charitable, and the funds raised will be used exclusively for securing the work of helpers for children with disabilities in preschool education.
