Pedestrians must have compulsory glare – reflective vest

The compulsory retro reflective vest from August 31 will have to carry Polish pedestrians. Many people are already protesting against "another regulation of life" and recognize it as a leap for money - an easy way to create a new field where the police can earn money on a number of mandates. But even though I myself am opposed to excessive regulation, I accept this responsibility with enthusiasm - because the reflections serve not only pedestrians. Anyone who has ever driven an unlit road at night knows it well.

The devil is in the details
From 1 September, pedestrians will have to wear reflective elements after dark and off-site. These two conditions are often overlooked by outraged on the new rules. Incorrectly - because it is this particular detail that makes the duty meaningful and necessary.

Out of the built-up road often lead through the woods or on the sides are covered with rows of trees - after dark, then nothing can be seen. The light of the car illuminates a small bit of road, the driver is focused on driving has a very small chance of seeing the pedestrian going along the roadside or the edge of the road. If there are clouds, you can only see a few meters ahead of the car. And remember that outside the built-up areas cars

They usually move faster than 90km / h, especially after dark when roads are empty.
Hikers without glare are simply invisible. Reflective elements change diametrically - you just need a band on your leg, your hand, because you did not start asking us to wear a safety vest. And the fact is that pedestrians often go without imagination, almost walking into the belt.
