As stated when workers are using a
motorcycle or motorcycle within the meaning of Article 2 of the Traffic Code
(Law 2696/1999), owned, owned or held by the employer for the transport or
distribution of products and objects, the employer shall take all necessary
measures to ensure that the vehicles are suitably adapted and maintained in
order to ensure their safety and health.
Also, the employer supplies with
appropriate protective equipment workers using a motorcycle or motorcycle,
ownership, possession or possession of his / her own or employees in the course
of their work for the transport or distribution of products and objects. Until
the adoption of the decision of par. 4, the protective helmet, as mentioned in
paragraph 6 of article 12 of the Road Traffic Code (Law 2696/1999), is suitable
protective equipment, suitable for the protection of the rider of the moped or
motorcycle, waterproof protection, gloves, and reflective vest with reflective
tape.
The employer shall also take the
necessary measures to ensure that workers have sufficient information at their
disposal and, where appropriate, written instructions for use relating to the
protective equipment referred to in paragraph 2. The information and written
instructions shall be available within the undertaking or establishment and be
understandable to the workers concerned.
By decision of the Minister of Labor, Social
Security and Social Solidarity, Citizen Protection and Infrastructure and
Transport, the certificates and other documents required by the employer
regarding the proper maintenance of the vehicles are determined.
