As it turns out, they are also destroying and blocking cameras and radars that measure speed on roads and streets. In all of France, 3,200 such devices were destroyed. Some do not work, because they are painted with black paint, or stuck. 300 cameras are completely destroyed. The costs of one together with the installation amount to several dozen thousand euros.

In a conversation with CNN, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry said that more than 60% of these devices are no longer in operation. Yellow vests protest against new road rules. On two-way roads with only one lane in each direction, the speed limit is limited to 90 km / h.

The previously permitted speed was 100 km / h. By introducing restrictions, the authorities explained this for security reasons.

Interior Minister Christophe Castaner is fighting the yellow vests not only allowing the police to act brutally but also in the media calling them fools.

- In social media, I saw fools destroying cameras. It's not about money, it's about human life, "said the minister.

Yellow vests think that this is just a way to rip money from people for mandates.
