With the first snowfall on the slopes of Lower Silesia, police patrols in safety vest also appeared. The main duty of the officers during the daily service is to ensure the safety of skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. During the "Together for the safety of the slope" campaign, policemen also remind people actively resting in the mountains about basic safety rules. The officers will see, among others in the districts.
All officers are in uniform, armed with reflective vests so that they can be seen from a distance and ask for help or advice.
Police officers will patrol not only the paste but also their surroundings, access roads and car parks. The primary task of the officers on the ski slopes is preventive action, which affects the safety of organized holiday destinations. Officials in the daily service inform skiers about how to safely use the ski slopes. What are the penalties for breaking the law? - Driving under the influence of alcohol and riding without a helmet. Policemen first and foremost care for the environment and respond to dangerous and illegal behavior on the skis, but they also have the right to: legitimize, instruct and punish irresponsible people in extreme situations.
Another element of the campaign is an artistic competition with reflective element for children and young people to illustrate the Decalogue of FIS Rules organized by the Police Headquarters and the Association of Instructors and Trainers of PZN under the slogan "Stock is not for snowmen". The condition for participation in the competition is the submission of artistic work performed by any drawing, painting or computer program to the Headquarters of the Police by February 20, 2017.
